Stage Neck Inn offers a bright indoor atrium pool

A warm welcoming hot tub has been set up on the "Harborview" side of the Inn in a secluded area. This will be a nice interim retreat for our guests staying with us before the anticipated April, 2012 opening of the NEW indoor pool.

Stage Neck Inn is in the process of rebuilding their indoor atrium pool. The pool was initially built above grade to avoid ledge removal. Therefore, when entering the pool area, you had to go up several steps to get to the pool deck. This is visable in the small photo at right. The teal double doors are the entry to the pool; you can see how they're lower than the pool area. In order to have the pool accessible for all of our guests, we have totally demolished the existing pool. We are building a new pool and hot tub.

The new pool will be both accessible and "green". The former atrium design was not at all energy efficient. The new pool area will have a more traditional roof and a different heating system. The reopening date of the pool is anticipated in April, 2012.

The Indoor pool is the perfect retreat after a busy day of sightseeing or shopping, and is the perfect tonic on a rainy day. The pool is housed in an area of the Innwhich faces the harbor and offers some nice views. It is a welcome retreat when the weather is bad or you've spent the day on the go and just want to unwind.

There is also a large hot tub in the pool area. Refresh your sore muscles in the invigorating hot tub and then take a dip in the pool.
