Stage Neck Pool and Tennis Club is located on your left as your approach the Inn. The freshwater pool is open from mid/late-June to mid-September (weather permitting). The Poolside Grille serves food from July 4 through Labor Day. Clay tennis courts are available, weather permitting. Reserve courts by calling the Front Desk.

The Indoor Pool with Jacuzzi tub and Fitness Room are located on the first floor (you will need your room key to access these areas). Facilities in the Fitness Room include a Co-Ed Sauna, Universal Gym, Lifecycle, Rower, Runner’s Treadmill, and Stair Stepper. The pool includes a Jacuzzi tub. |

Golf: Southern Maine is becoming reknown for the exceptional golf courses here! These include: A favorite of many of our guests is The Ledges Golf Club, One Ledges Drive, York, Maine, 207-351-9999. Rugged, New England terrain frames a setting where your concentration will be broken by spectacular scenery, outstanding course conditions and various woodland inhabitants. 18 holes. Fairly new to Wells is the Old Marsh Country Club, situated five minutes from the open ocean, designed by Brian Silva (Red Tail) and built by the folks who brought you Sunday River, 207-251-4653. In the short time this course has been open, it has received rave reviews. Another fine course is The Links at Outlook, South Berwick, Maine, 207-384-GOLF(4653). Built in the Scottish tradition and designed by Golf World's Architect of the Year, 1999, this public course offers 140 acres of undulating bent grass fairways and greens. Par 71, 18 hole. Cape Neddick Country Club (which also offers a driving range and putting green), 361-2011; Pease, 603-433-1331; Portsmouth, 603-436-9719; and Wentworth-By-The-Sea, 603-433-5010. Two Par-3 courses are also available: Merriland Farm in Wells, 207-646-0508; and Pine Hollow in Sanford, 207-324-5271. Wells also offers a practice range, Tee Shots, 207-646-2727. Horseback Riding is available at Bush Brook Stables, Inc., 463 West Street, Biddeford (40 minutes North), 207-284-7721. The York Recreation Department also offers horse back riding on nearby Mt. Jogging Routes and Cross-Country Ski Trails (weather permitting) have been established. Please obtain a map at the Front Desk. Kayaking and Mountain Bike Tours may be arranged through Harbor Adventures, 363-8466, or through Excursions which also offers mountain climbing tours, 363-0181.
The Marginal Way originates in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit (11 miles North of Stage Neck Inn) and follows the coast to Ogunquit Beach. Sailing, Scenic Cruises, and Walking Tours are scheduled regularly by: Finestkind Scenic Cruises, Lobstering Trips, and Sailing, Perkins Cove, Ogunquit, 646-5227.
